Two new refineries are soon to be built in Nigeria
,courtesy the Petroleum Independent Marketers Association of Nigeria.
National President of the association,Mr Chinedu Okoronkwo
made the disclosure on Wednesday during a courtesy visit to the Minister of Information,
Mr Labaran Maku in his office in Abuja .
Okoronkwo who led members of his executive on the visit said
arrangements had already been concluded with the associations technical
partners for the construction of the refineries.
According to him , the refineries are expected to be sited in
both Bayelsa and Kogi States .
Responding while welcoming the visitors to his office ,the
Minister of Information, Mr Labaran Maku enjoined them to be in the lead of the
campaign in the regulation of he oil sector of the Nigerian economy.
He noted that the regulation became necessary as it wil help
government to save money and create room for employment to the people. He urged
them to key into the transformation agenda programme of the present federal
government by embracing the culture of attitudinal change.
