TERRORISM: Gov Oshiomhole task media to shun negative reportage.

The Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has appealed tp the media in the country not to compound the present security challenges in the country through negative reportage.
Governor Oshiomhole made the appeal on Wednesday in Benin while addressing the press on current security challenges facing Nigeria and the possible way forward.
‘For example, why should a journalist at such a time in a small crisis between two persons with one attacking the other think it best to use the word war to report such an incident, Of course rather than quell that crisis ,it will fuel it the more” he argued.
According to him , Nigerians must collaborate at this very crucial period of its history to check  mate the security challenges facing her.
He described the present situation  whereby Nigerians are politicizing the issue of security as very dangerous and uncalled for especially in the present lock jam we all find ourselves in the country.
“We all must work together, in the present melee we are in , it does not know age, gender, region or even religion .Everybody have become a victim in this whole thing and it is quite sad”,the governor submitted .
“All I am pleading to Nigerians now is for all of us to please speak as a nation united in one common voice and working together with the federal government to put and end to the security challenges and also ensure the release of those innocent small school girls that were abducted in Borno State”,he further stated .
